Frequently Asked

Myers-Style Vitamin Infusion — FAQs

What is the Myers Cocktail?
The Myers Cocktail is the original wellness IV blend, developed by Dr. John Myers in the 1960s. It combines essential minerals (calcium, magnesium) with B vitamins for general wellness support. It's still one of the most popular IV blends today.
Who is this drip best suited for?
Myers-Style is ideal for general wellness, mild fatigue, or anyone curious about IV therapy. It's a balanced 'starter' blend that doesn't focus on any single area but supports overall well-being.
How quickly will I feel the effects?
Most patients feel a sense of calm and mild energy boost within hours. The full benefits build over 1–3 days as the vitamins and minerals are utilised by your body.
Will I feel anything during the infusion?
You may notice a warm flush during the magnesium and calcium push — this is completely normal and lasts a few seconds. Some patients also notice a mild vitamin taste during the B-complex.
How often can I have this drip?
For ongoing wellness, every 4–6 weeks is typical. If you're using Myers-Style for a specific issue like migraines or fatigue, your clinician may recommend a closer schedule initially (e.g., weekly for 3–4 weeks).
Can it help with migraines?
Some patients with migraines report fewer or less severe attacks after regular Myers Cocktail sessions — particularly when low magnesium is part of the picture. We can discuss whether it's likely to help your specific pattern.
Are there any side effects?
Most patients have no side effects. Some experience transient warmth, flushing or a brief metallic taste during the infusion. Serious reactions are rare and discussed before treatment.
Can I combine Myers with other treatments?
Yes — many patients add Vitamin C 10 g for an antioxidant boost or pair Myers with B12 injections. Combinations are confirmed by our clinical team on the day.
Is it safe if I'm pregnant?
We do not recommend elective IV nutrient therapy during pregnancy. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive, please note this on the suitability form.
Where is the clinic?
44 Crawford Street, London W1H 1JS — a short walk from Marylebone and Edgware Road stations. All treatments are administered at our clinic.
