What to expect

Your appointment

1

Brief on-arrival screening (5 min)

A trained clinical staff member confirms your suitability and discusses your training schedule and recovery goals.

2

IV infusion (~45–55 min)

The recovery blend is administered in our private treatment room. You can rest or even work — many athletes find this a useful recovery window.

3

Brief recovery (5 min)

A short period of observation after the infusion. Many patients report feeling lighter and more recovered later that day.

Pre-treatment blood test — may be required

For most patients, no blood test is needed before a single session. If you're training heavily or having repeated treatments, we recommend testing Kidney + Liver Function and Electrolytes — to ensure you're recovering safely and to identify any deficiencies.

Frequently Asked

Fitness Recovery IV — FAQs

When is the best time to have this drip?
Many athletes book Fitness Recovery the day after a hard session or competition, when DOMS (delayed-onset muscle soreness) typically peaks. Some prefer same-day post-event for faster initial recovery.
Will this drip improve my performance?
Fitness Recovery is designed to support recovery, not directly enhance performance during exercise. By recovering faster between sessions, you may indirectly improve your performance over time through more effective training.
How often should I have this drip?
During heavy training blocks, every 1–2 weeks is typical. During competition season or after major events, frequency can increase to weekly. We'll agree a schedule that fits your training cycle.
Can I train on the same day as the drip?
We recommend resting on the day of treatment to maximise recovery benefits. Light movement is fine, but avoid intense training for at least 4–6 hours after the infusion.
Is this drip WADA / anti-doping compliant?
The ingredients in Fitness Recovery are not on the WADA prohibited list. However, WADA has rules about IV administration itself for competitive athletes — please check your sport's specific rules. We can provide an ingredient list for compliance review.
How is this different from Energy Support IV?
Energy Support targets general tiredness and energy levels with B vitamins and CoQ10. Fitness Recovery focuses specifically on muscle recovery with amino acids (L-Carnitine, L-Ornithine-L-Aspartate) and hydration.
Can I combine this with Hydration IV?
Fitness Recovery already includes a hydration base. For severe dehydration post-event, you may prefer Hydration IV first, with Fitness Recovery the following day.
Are there any side effects?
Most patients experience no side effects. Some may feel transient warmth or a brief amino acid taste during the infusion. Serious reactions are rare.
Is it safe if I'm pregnant?
We do not recommend elective IV nutrient therapy during pregnancy. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive, please note this on the suitability form.
Where is the clinic?
