Frequently Asked
Hydration IV — FAQs
How quickly will I feel hydrated after the drip?
Most patients report feeling refreshed and re-energised by the end of the 45-minute session. Full hydration recovery typically continues over the next 12–24 hours.
Is this drip suitable for hangovers?
Yes — Hydration IV is one of the most popular treatments for severe hangover symptoms. The saline plus electrolytes addresses the underlying dehydration and electrolyte loss caused by alcohol.
Can I have this drip after intense exercise or a marathon?
Absolutely. Many athletes book Hydration IV after marathons, triathlons or long training sessions for fast rehydration and electrolyte replenishment. We can also add B-Complex for energy support.
How often can I have this drip?
Hydration IV can be taken as needed — whenever you're significantly dehydrated. For ongoing wellness, every 2–4 weeks is typical. Frequency is agreed on the day based on your goals and symptoms.
Are there any side effects?
Hydration IV is one of the gentlest drips we offer. Most patients experience no side effects. Some may notice mild bruising at the IV site or transient warmth during infusion. Serious reactions are rare.
Can I combine Hydration IV with other treatments?
Yes — many patients combine Hydration IV with B12 injections for energy or add Vitamin C 10 g for extra antioxidant support. Combinations are confirmed by our clinical team on the day.
Do I need a blood test before this drip?
For most patients, no. A Kidney Function test may be recommended if our screening shows red flags or relevant medical history. We can arrange this at our clinic.
Is it safe to have this drip if I'm pregnant?
We do not recommend elective IV nutrient therapy during pregnancy. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive, please note this on the suitability form and we will discuss whether deferral is appropriate.
Where is the clinic?
44 Crawford Street, London W1H 1JS — a short walk from Marylebone and Edgware Road stations. All treatments are administered at our clinic. We do not offer at-home services.
