WellMediCare blood testing process
How testing works

Sampled with care, clinically reviewed.

Every blood test at WellMediCare goes through a clinical pathway: a short suitability review, sample collection at our London clinic, and a final clinician review before results are released to you with a written summary.

1

Suitability check

A short online questionnaire covers your symptoms, medical history and current medication. Reviewed by our clinical team before booking.

2

Sample collection at our clinic

Blood drawn at our central London clinic by trained clinical staff. Most appointments take 15–20 minutes, with samples sent to an accredited UK laboratory.

3

Clinician-reviewed results

Lab results return to a UK-registered clinician for review. You receive your results with a plain-English written summary — typically within 24–48 hours.

Frequently Asked

Blood Tests — FAQs

How do I book a blood test?
Choose your test from the menu above and click "Book Now". Complete a short suitability questionnaire, then pick a slot at our central London clinic — appointments are usually available the same week.
Do I need a GP referral?
No GP referral is needed. Our clinical team will review your suitability based on your online questionnaire and a brief check on arrival.
When will I get my results?
Most standard tests are turned around in 24–48 hours from sample collection. Specialist panels (hormones, comprehensive profiles) may take 3–5 working days. We'll email your results with a clinician summary as soon as they're ready.
Do I need to fast before my test?
Some tests require fasting (usually 8–12 hours of water only):
  • Lipid Profile — fast recommended
  • HbA1c / Glucose — fast required
  • Weight Loss Profile — fast required (includes glucose & lipids)
We'll confirm fasting requirements when you book and remind you the day before.
How is the sample collected?
A standard venous blood draw is taken from your arm by trained clinical staff at our London clinic. The procedure takes 5–10 minutes. Samples are then sent to an accredited UK laboratory for analysis.
Will a clinician explain my results?
Yes. Every result set is reviewed by a UK-registered clinician before release. You receive your results with a plain-English written summary explaining what each marker means in your specific context.
What if my results show something unusual?
If any markers are clinically significant, we'll flag this in your summary and recommend next steps — whether that's a repeat test, a more comprehensive panel, a follow-up consultation, or a referral to your GP or a specialist.
How accurate are these tests?
All our blood tests are processed by accredited UK laboratories meeting ISO 15189 medical testing standards — the same standards used by NHS pathology services.
Can I have a blood test before an IV drip?
Yes — and for some IV drips it's required. Vitamin C high-dose, Vitamin D injection and advanced NAD+ doses need specific pre-treatment blood tests. You can book the relevant test from this page first.
Where is the clinic?
44 Crawford Street, London W1H 1JS — a short walk from Marylebone and Edgware Road stations. All blood draws are taken at our clinic. We do not offer at-home phlebotomy.
Is my information confidential?
Yes. All medical data is stored securely in line with UK data protection regulations and only accessible to qualified healthcare professionals involved in your care.
