About this test

Everything you need to know about Fertility Health

Fertility is more than one hormone. This check brings together AMH — the marker of how many eggs remain — with the hormones that drive your cycle, and then looks at the rest of your health through a fertility lens: thyroid (an under- or over-active thyroid can disrupt ovulation), iron and a full blood count (anaemia is common and easily corrected), blood sugar markers, heart health and the nutrients a pregnancy will draw on.

It is a sensible starting point whether you are planning to try soon, have been trying for a while, or are thinking about egg freezing and want to know where you stand. Results are explained by our clinical team, who will say when a referral to a fertility specialist is the right next step.

Frequently Asked

Fertility Health — FAQs

When in my cycle should I book?
Day 2 to 5 (counting the first day of your period as day 1) gives the most useful reading for FSH, LH and oestradiol. AMH, thyroid and the other markers can be measured on any day — if your cycle is irregular, book whenever suits and tell us.
Does a good AMH mean I will conceive easily?
No. AMH reflects egg quantity, not quality, and says nothing about your partner, your tubes or your womb. It is one useful piece of the picture, which is why this check looks wider than AMH alone.
Should I stop the pill before the test?
Hormonal contraception can slightly lower AMH and will alter the cycle hormones. If you are on it, the results are still useful — tell us so they are interpreted correctly — or, if you are coming off it anyway, test two to three months later.
What happens if something is abnormal?
Our clinician explains what it means. Some findings (low iron, thyroid changes, low vitamin D) are easily corrected; others lead to a recommendation to see your GP or a fertility specialist, with a written summary to take with you.
Where is the test done?
44 Crawford Street, London W1H 1JS — a short walk from Marylebone and Edgware Road stations. Your sample is taken at the clinic by our clinical team; you do not need to bring anything.
How long does the appointment take?
About 15 minutes. If you have booked several tests they are all done in the same visit.
Can I book several tests at once?
Yes. Use “Add to booking” on each test and then “Book” in the bar at the bottom — they go into one appointment and one payment. Home test kits are ordered separately, because they are posted to you.
How do I pay, and can I cancel?
Pay online when you book — by card or bank transfer — or at the clinic where that option is offered. You can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your appointment for a full refund.
How do I get my results?
Results are released to your secure account and explained by our clinical team in a written summary, with a call where something needs talking through. Turnaround depends on the test: routine blood panels are quicker than genetic or DNA analysis, and we tell you what to expect at your appointment.
