Type 1 Diabetes & Coeliac Detection Panel
Combines genetic risk scores with the autoantibodies that signal an active immune process for both type 1 diabetes and coeliac disease — two autoimmune conditions that often run together.
Everything you need to know about Type 1 Diabetes & Coeliac Detection Panel
Type 1 diabetes and coeliac disease share genetic roots — both are strongly linked to the HLA genes — and having one raises the chance of the other. This panel looks at each condition from two angles. The genetic risk scores (T1D and coeliac) tell you how predisposed you are. The autoantibodies — the type 1 diabetes antibodies and the coeliac disease antibodies — show whether the immune system has actually begun to react.
That combination is what makes it a detection panel rather than just a risk test: a high genetic score with antibodies present is a very different situation from a high score alone, and our clinical team explains exactly where your results sit and what should happen next.
